Large-Scale Inspection at Flea Market in Gelsenkirchen, Germany
A flea market in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, was targeted in a large-scale inspection, revealing multiple violations including tax evasion.

According to a recent report from the German media outlet WAZ, a large flea market on Willy-Brandt-Allee in Gelsenkirchen, Germany has become the focus of a major inspection. The operation, called "GeOS" (Jointly for Order and Safety), has uncovered multiple violations.

Additionally, during this inspection, the Department of Commerce closed four stalls because the vendors did not have valid mobile operation permits. 17 stall owners had permits but failed to present them during the inspection, resulting in a warning fine. 14 stall owners also received warning fines for underpricing their products.

The environmental department has penalized two vendors who were selling beverages without the deposit label. The police also confiscated 35 pairs of suspected counterfeit headphones. In addition, the Dortmund Customs Office discovered e-liquid and e-cigarettes without tax stamps, leading to a tax loss of approximately 12,000 euros.
