Lucy" nicotine pouch brand to help Southern California firefighters in response to wildfires, Newsweek reports on January 13.

According to a report by Newsweek on January 13th, the American nicotine pouch brand "Lucy" announced that they will assist Southern California firefighters in responding to wildfires, in response to requests from the firefighters.

Firefighters have been working tirelessly since last week to control the devastating wildfires in the Los Angeles area, including the Palisades Fire, Eaton Fire, and Hesston Fire. These fires have already claimed the lives of at least 24 people and destroyed at least 12,000 structures. The weather bureau predicts that strong gusts of wind from Monday to Wednesday could push the fire south and west.

The company's co-founder John Coogan told Newsweek that the company is currently responding to firefighters on the frontlines of the California wildfires who are requesting nicotine pouches.

We are certainly willing to provide any assistance possible. The request for nicotine pouches by the firefighters was somewhat unexpected, but considering the high-pressure environment they are facing, it can be understood. If I were on the front lines, I would also want a temporary relaxation.

Many reports about firefighters' demand for nicotine pouches have been widely spread on social media, prompting many people to initiate donation efforts to support California firefighters. Kugan mentioned that after someone sent him relevant posts, he contacted the relevant organizations and immediately dispatched multiple boxes of products to the fire stations and distribution centers in need. He pointed out that the company, to ensure legality and compliance, only symbolically charges $1 and prioritizes providing flavorless products to comply with California's laws banning flavored nicotine products.

The situation is a bit chaotic, and I just hope our products can reach the hands of adult firefighters who are already using these products.
