
According to a report from Oriental Tobacco News, in May, Wang Gongcheng, Deputy Director of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, held consecutive meetings in Beijing with senior representatives from Japan Tobacco International, British American Tobacco, and Philip Morris International (PMI).
On May 7th, Wang Gongcheng, a member of the Party group and deputy director of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, met with the visiting President of Japan Tobacco International Asia-Pacific, Bob Yi, in Beijing. The two sides had a friendly meeting. Officials from the State Administration's Office (Foreign Affairs Department), Development Planning Department, China National Tobacco Corporation, and China Tobacco International Group Co., Ltd. also attended the meeting.
On May 16, Wang Gongcheng, a member of the party group and deputy director of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, met with members of the British American Tobacco Group Management Committee, including Di Giacomo Nocsk, President of the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa region, in Beijing. The two sides held friendly discussions. Participants in the meeting included officials from the State Administration Office (Foreign Affairs Department), Development Planning Department, e-cigarette management office, China Tobacco Sales Corporation, and China Tobacco International Limited.
On May 21, Wang Gongcheng, member of the Party group and deputy director of the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration, met with Philip Morris International (PMI) China's Chief Strategic Cooperation Officer Chen Jingyi and her delegation in Beijing. The two sides had a friendly discussion. Officials from the State Administration's Office (Foreign Affairs Department), Development Planning Department, Economic Operations Department, China Tobacco Sales Corporation, and China Tobacco International Limited were present at the meeting.
