Nielsen: US Vape Sales Drop by 14.1% YoY, Zyn Sees 80% Increase in Sales
According to Journalnow, latest Nielsen data shows US e-cigarette sales dropped 14.1%, urging FDA to crack down on illicit products.

According to the latest Nielsen convenience store data reported by Journalnow, e-cigarette sales in the United States have decreased by 14.1% compared to the previous year. The report covers four weeks leading up to March 23rd.

In the latest report, Vuse's market share decreased from 42.2% to 41.6%; the second-ranked Juul saw a decrease from 24.2% to 23.8%; the market share of e-cigarette brand NJoy, owned by Altria, remained steady at 3.2%; and the market share of blu eCigs, a subsidiary of Imperial Tobacco's Fontem Ventures, decreased from 1.1% to 1%.

British American Tobacco and Altria are urging the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to strengthen enforcement against "illegally" manufactured synthetic nicotine e-cigarettes in the U.S. market. These companies estimate that these synthetic products represent approximately half of the domestic e-cigarette market.

It is worth noting that sales of PMI's nicotine pouch brand Zyn have increased by approximately 80% year-on-year, with annual sales currently reaching $2 billion.
