2Firsts, September 22, 2025 — According to Edaily, Philip Morris Korea will launch TEREA Riviera Pearl, a new capsule stick for the IQOS ILUMA series, on the 22nd. As a capsule addition to the TEREA family, Riviera Pearl starts with a cooling taste and—after the capsule is pressed—instantly switches to a fresher, more striking flavor, meeting the preferences of adult users who seek a “cooling feel + capsule flavor-switching.” It also complements the existing TEREA Oasis Pearl.

With Riviera Pearl, the TEREA capsule lineup expands to six variants, including Oasis Pearl, Sun Pearl, Twilight Pearl, and others, further broadening ILUMA users’ flavor spectrum and usage scenarios. The launch also triggers a packaging refresh for the TEREA series: while maintaining the brand’s premium design philosophy, the new look adopts a more refined, modern visual language, and will be rolled out across all TEREA products in phases.

In terms of channels and pricing, TEREA Riviera Pearl will be available at IQOS official stores and major convenience stores nationwide at a suggested retail price of KRW 4,800 (US$3.45).

Philip Morris Korea noted that since introducing the first heated tobacco device IQOS in Korea in 2017, it has continued to drive the local transition to non-combustion products: launching IQOS ILUMA and its dedicated TEREA sticks in 2022, and in 2025 releasing the next-generation IQOS ILUMA i along with the new SENTIA sticks. Both TEREA and SENTIA are currently mass-produced at the company’s Korean facilities, supplying the domestic market and exports.

A brand representative said TEREA Riviera Pearl marks a much-anticipated return to a “cooling base + capsule flavor-switch” profile, offering a more layered option for existing ILUMA users and adult consumers seeking a fresh taste experience.
