Premiere of the Cigar Culture Summit at InterTabac 2025: Be there!
This year, the 45th InterTabac will provide the setting for a premiere aimed at one of the trade show’s most important target groups. Together with its new partner, The Cigar Academy from the USA, Messe Dortmund is hosting the Cigar Culture Summit on September 17 – one day before the start of the show. This exclusive summit will unite the leading figures in the cigar world: from legendary manufacturers and growers to influential media, importers and retailers.

Highlight-event brings together the cigar world in Dortmund – accreditation is already open.

Dortmund, 28 August 2025 – ‘Pleasure. Knowledge. Connection.’ is the ethos of the summit, which will take place from 13:00 to 18:00 hrs in the conference rooms of the North Entrance at Messe Dortmund. Participants can expect deep and valuable insights into the topics and issues that are driving the industry — from top-class speakers who know the industry inside out.

Keynotes, panels, and workshops are divided into three streams that address different target groups.

  • Stream 1 is aimed at manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and suppliers. The panel programme is designed as a compact conference to explore the innovation, identity, and international dynamics that define and challenge the cigar world today.

  • Wholesalers, distributors, retailers and CigarClubs will find workshops in Stream 2 focusing on expertise in craftsmanship, rituals, preservation, and stories that define the world‘s most enduring cultural luxury.

  • Finally, Stream 3 focuses on the important target group of German market specialist cigar and pipe retailers. Here, everything revolves around the question: How can we strengthen the trade for the future in these dynamic times?

Streams 1 and 2 will be held in English, while Stream 3 will be held in German.

The organizers can count on the support of strong partners and sponsors for the event.

  • The main sponsors include VRIJDAG B.V., Faieq Alzayani Co. W.L.L. (FAZCO), the Humidif Group, Boveda, and The Leaf Master Cigars.

  • Other supporters include The Humidor, Brun del Ré, and Villiger Cigars. The Premium Cigar Association (PCA), Stauffenberg Cigars, CST Consulting, and Grupo TPG are also participating as sponsors.

  • Other partners include the Cigar Association of America, the International Tobacco Growers Association, ProCigar, and EtwasGenuss.

The Cigar Culture Summit will conclude with the Cigar Reception at 19:30 hrs.

The programme is already available online and will be continuously updated in the run-up to the trade show. Another, more detailed press release will follow next week.
