Turkey's Ministry of Trade Reports: Nearly 6 Million Illegal E-Cigarettes Seized in 2024, Valued at $13 Million
Turkey's Trade Minister Ömer Bolat revealed significant smuggling data for 2024, including seized vehicles, gold, tobacco products, and e-cigarettes.

According to a report from Tele1 on December 31, during a command and control assessment meeting at the Customs Protection General Directorate, Turkey's Minister of Trade, Ömer Bolat, revealed data on the smuggling of vehicles, gold, tobacco products, and e-cigarettes seized in 2024.


Borat pointed out that in 2024, authorities seized illicit tobacco products worth 917 million lira (26 million dollars) in 2173 cases. Additionally, in 2024, Turkey confiscated over 5.952 million e-cigarette devices and their accessories valued at 469 million lira (13 million dollars).
