Turkish Police Seize Contraband Cigarettes, E-cigarettes, and Cigars
Turkish police seize 1,747 packs of smuggled cigarettes, 652 e-cigarettes, and 450 cigars in an anti-smuggling operation.

According to Haberler on November 18th, the police in the city of Gaziantep in Turkey successfully seized 1,747 packages of smuggled cigarettes, 652 e-cigarettes, and 450 cigars in an operation targeting smuggling activities.

 

According to a statement from the city police department, its department investigating smuggling and organized crimes conducted searches in a commercial establishment and vehicles, resulting in the detention of four suspects.

Nigeria’s House of Representatives said it will review the National Tobacco Control Act to address regulatory gaps around emerging nicotine products such as e-cigarettes and to strengthen border controls and enforcement coordination.
