Ukrainian Customs Seizes Disposable E-cigarettes Worth Over USD 70,000
Ukrainian customs officials have seized 7,500 disposable e-cigarettes, with the case involving an estimated value of 2.8 million hryvnias (about USD 70,000). Legal action has been initiated.

According to Golossokal on August 18, Ukrainian customs intercepted a truck loaded with alcoholic beverages. The truck was driven by a 39-year-old resident of the Lviv region and was carrying consolidated cargo.

 

During the inspection of the vehicle, customs officers together with border guards discovered 7,500 disposable Elf Bar e-cigarettes in the cargo compartment of the semi-trailer. In addition, 500 bottles of e-liquid of the same brand were also seized.

 

The seized goods were valued at more than 2.8 million hryvnias (about USD 70,000). In response to the incident, customs officials issued a report under Part 1 of Article 483 of the Customs Code of Ukraine. Since the case bears the characteristics of a criminal offense under Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, it has been referred to the Economic Security Bureau of the Lviv region.
