Ukrainian authorities bust e-cigarette smuggling ring on Telegram, seizing goods worth over $40,000 in illegal operation.

This operation is an important component of Ukraine's efforts to strengthen border control and combat smuggling.

According to Volynnews on April 10th, the Ukrainian Border Guard Service has discovered the illegal distribution of smuggled taxable goods within Ukraine's territory in Kyiv Oblast.

Criminals have been smuggling goods into Ukraine from abroad and storing them in a warehouse in the city of Ierpino. These goods include e-cigarettes, nicotine pouches, vaporizers, and their corresponding e-liquids. In order to expand distribution, they have created a Telegram channel specifically for this operation, using postal services to deliver the goods to customers who place orders.

Recently, investigators from the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service and Security Service carried out a series of joint search operations in Lviv Oblast, targeting warehouses in Kyiv Oblast. Ultimately, the operation resulted in the seizure of 107 different flavors of tobacco pouches, 220 disposable e-cigarettes, and 2529 bottles of e-liquid valued at over 1.6 million hryvnia (40,000 USD).

Currently, criminal investigations are ongoing regarding this case.
