On June 28th, local time in the United States, the Center for Tobacco Products of the FDA updated the information on tobacco compliance inspection results on the FDA website. The newly named "Tobacco Compliance Inspection Results Database" integrates all tobacco retail inspection results and aims to provide convenience for the public, public health organizations, and the tobacco industry.
The new database also enhances the ability to search for regulatory compliance and enforcement action results for both brick-and-mortar and online retailers, including warning letters, civil fines, and instructions to cease tobacco sales. Previously, this information was spread across various locations on the FDA website, but this upgrade will make it easier for visitors to find FDA compliance and enforcement actions against retailers in one centralized location.
In addition, this centralized database will be updated monthly with the latest compliance check results.
The database website is: https://timp-ccid.fda.gov/
