2Firsts, September 4, 2025 - According to a message on the Greentank official website on September 2, the Canadian e-cigarette hardware manufacturer Greentank Technologies announced the appointment of Chris Gemmell as Chief Product and Innovation Officer (CPIO).

According to sources, Chris previously held positions at British American Tobacco (BAT) and its American subsidiary Reynolds. During his time at BAT, he entered the executive leadership team in Southern Europe, Mexico and Central America, as well as at the Canadian Imperial Tobacco Company. Later on at Reynolds, he was responsible for the business related to the rapid expansion of e-cigarette products, and subsequently became President of an American snuff company, leading the company into the nicotine pouch business sector.

 

Afterwards, Chris took on global responsibilities at BAT, leading the innovative transformation to reduce high-risk products, as well as overseeing product development and product line management for all related categories.

 

Chris has accumulated more than 25 years of experience in product development, innovation, supply chain, and business management in the consumer goods and nicotine industries. Prior to joining Greentank, he led a consulting firm focused on product development and commercialization strategy, working with various industry clients. He also served on multiple boards both within and outside of the industry, further expanding his strategic growth and innovation capabilities.

 

Greentank Technologies is an e-cigarette hardware manufacturer based in Canada. As CPIO, Chris will lead the team in focusing on driving innovation, accelerating product launches, optimizing commercialization strategies, and expanding the application of high-performance atomization technology globally.

 

In addition, Chris was invited to attend the Global NGP Innovation and Technology Forum organized by 2Firsts in Shenzhen on February 20, 2025, where he shared his core insights on innovative tobacco.
