Illinois Legislators Crack Down on Unregulated E-Cigarette Products
Illinois lawmakers crack down on unregulated e-cigarette products, focusing on gas stations, pushing for FDA approval verification.

According to a report by Yahoo News on April 23, lawmakers in Illinois, USA, are cracking down on unregulated e-cigarette products, with a focus on potentially targeting gas stations.

State legislators are pushing a bill that would require distributors of these products to verify whether their e-cigarette products have been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and to clearly inform retailers.

The Illinois Fuel & Retail Association, an advocacy organization for gas stations in the state, expressed their support for this. They stated that allowing gas stations to self-certify is not feasible, and therefore regulatory agencies need to intervene.
