PMI Plans to Introduce More Smoke-Free Products in Egypt
PMI plans to introduce more smoke-free products in Egypt due to IQOS success, targeting the country's 15 million smokers.

According to a report from Dailynewsegypt on January 20th, Tommaso Di Giovanni, Vice President of International Communications and Cooperation at Philip Morris International (PMI), stated that due to the success of IQOS in Egypt, PMI will be introducing more smoke-free products to the Egyptian market.

Currently, there are approximately 15 million adult smokers in Egypt, and the IQOS product has made significant progress in the country. PMI plans to capitalize on this opportunity to further expand its market share in Egypt.

Giovanni is optimistic about introducing smoke-free products such as e-cigarettes and nicotine pouches into the Egyptian market. He stated that IQOS has already established itself in Egypt, providing support for the future launch of new products and efforts to "keep Egyptian smokers away from cigarettes.
