Romania Tobacco Brands to Face Price Increase Starting Tomorrow
Starting from tomorrow, tobacco prices in Romania will increase as Japan Tobacco International announces their price hike.

According to a report by Observatorulph on January 10th, starting tomorrow, January 11th, a range of tobacco brands in Romania will see price increases.

 

Japan Tobacco International (JTI) has become the first producer to announce a price increase, while British American Tobacco (BAT) has not made any formal statements yet.

 

According to sources, it is expected that the company will carry out price adjustments on January 15th. Similarly, Philip Morris International (PMI) is also expected to announce new prices for its tobacco products on the same date.

 

In 2023, there were multiple upward adjustments in tobacco prices, leading to an overall increase of approximately 1.50 Lebanese pounds (around 0.33 US dollars) in cigarette packaging prices.
