Russian Parliament Considers Law to Regulate Nicotine Consumption
The Russian State Duma is considering a bill to classify nicotine-free tobacco mixtures as nicotine products to combat youth addiction.

According to a recent report by URA.RU, the Russian State Duma is currently considering a bill that aims to classify nicotine-containing and nicotine-free tobacco mixtures as nicotine products. The bill documents reveal that this reform is expected to help young people overcome their nicotine addiction.

E-cigarette vendors have called on the Chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, and Deputy Chairman Piotr Tolstoy, advocating for the imposition of fines on parents of adolescents engaging in smoking behavior.

The introduction and implementation of this bill may potentially lead to its enactment and provide Russia with new strategies to address the issue of tobacco among young people.
