BAT's Korean subsidiary switches Dunhill special packaging to eco-friendly paper
British American Tobacco's Korean subsidiary announced the switch to environmentally friendly paper for Dunhill large packaging, promoting ESG values.

According to a report by N.News on October 14th, the Korean subsidiary of British American Tobacco announced that it will replace the special cover material "RELOC" on six of its larger packaging for Dunhill products with eco-friendly paper.

It is reported that this packaging change is part of BAT's promotion of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management principles. The material of the special "RELOC" cover has been changed from the original plastic film to environmentally friendly paper, maintaining the scent of Dunhill while also improving the convenience of sorting and recycling.

The products affected by this change include larger pack sizes of King Size 6mg/3mg/1mg, Dunhill Frost, Dunhill Switch 6mg, and Dunhill Switch 1mg models.

A company spokesperson stated that...

While maintaining the quality and brand image of Dengxi Road, the core of this packaging change is to enhance the environmental features of the products. In the future, the company will apply more environmental materials to more products and promote the development of sustainable products.

As early as 2021, the company introduced eco-friendly packaging, eliminating PVC protective film. In September 2023, the company will switch the cores of Dunhill Fine Cut, Kent, and Glow Neopod from aluminum to environmentally friendly paper, and expand the implementation of a device recycling program for the e-cigarette brand "Vuse".
