Brazilian Congress to Vote on E-Cigarette Legislation Next Week
A bill on e-cigarettes will be on the agenda in the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies this week.

According to a report by Midianinja on June 10th, this week's agenda in the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies will also include a discussion on a bill regarding e-cigarettes.


In the Senate, the Committee on Economic Affairs (CAE) may vote on a bill to regulate e-cigarettes on Tuesday, the 11th.


In Brazil, Anvisa has prohibited the sale, import and advertising of these tobacco products since 2009.

Volgograd, Russia say a retailer was caught selling unlabelled nicotine products, including electronic nicotine delivery devices flagged in the national “Honest Sign” tracking system as already withdrawn from circulation. A local court fined the entrepreneur 300,000 rubles and ordered 41 confiscated items to be destroyed, with the decision now in effect.

Daegu’s Jung-gu District announced on Feb. 10 that, following amendments to the Tobacco Business Act that explicitly classify liquid e-cigarettes containing synthetic nicotine as “tobacco” (effective April 24, 2026), the district will expand regulations to include fines for vaping such products in designated nonsmoking areas. The district health office said smokers/vapers could face an administrative fine of up to 100,000 won for using synthetic-nicotine liquid e-cigarettes in smoke-free zones
