According to a report by Metro1 on September 4th, the governor of the Brazilian state of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado, has been accused of participating in promotional activities for the e-cigarette brand "IGNITE." Controversy Surrounding Ronaldo Caiado's Appearance in IGNITE Event

The event took place on September 1st in the city of Bela Vista in the state of Goiás. The company invited singer Gusttavo Lima to perform at the event and bestowed upon him the title of brand "ambassador". At the event, the stage backdrop continuously changed to showcase the artist's logo, Greek-style architecture, and the "IGNITE" brand logo. During the event, Governor Kaya appeared wearing a jacket with the company's logo.

According to Brazilian media outlet Metrópoles, Ronaldo Caiado stated that he did not know what the pattern on the jacket he received represented.

The Governor's office stated in a press release that...

Governor Ronaldo Caiado was unaware of the meaning of the logo on the jacket he borrowed to stay warm at a celebration event hosted by singer Gusttavo Lima in Goiás Bela Vista. Caiado, a doctor, strongly opposes the use of e-cigarette devices due to their harmful effects on health. It is important to note that the 'IGNITE' brand sold in Brazil is a beverage, not an e-cigarette, as e-cigarettes are banned in Brazil.

The team of singer Gusttavo Lima explained to Metrópoles that the purpose of the event is to promote the company's beverage line.
