Spanish police in Granada bust 8 suspects in raids on marijuana production centers in Santa Fe and Fuente Vaqueros.

According to Ideal report on April 28th, the Spanish Guardia Civil in Granada successfully dismantled five large marijuana production centers in Santa Fe and three in Fuente Vaqueros. In this operation, a total of 2,348 marijuana plants in various growth stages were seized by the authorities.

 

Eight individuals are facing charges for growing and manufacturing drugs, as well as minor charges of electricity theft. In addition, two individuals have been accused of the crime of electricity theft.

 

Previously, police discovered multiple residences in these two areas were engaged in illegal electricity theft. Following a series of investigations, it was found that the electricity consumption in certain residences was unusually high, leading to suspicions that residents may be involved in the cultivation of cannabis. As a result, the police promptly applied for search warrants for the relevant residences.

 

In the search of 8 residences, police found all the facilities necessary for growing and manufacturing marijuana, as well as 2,011 marijuana plants in various stages of growth. In the first three searches in Font-Vaquer, police found 340, 62, and 360 marijuana plants. In the Santa Fe area, five searches uncovered 288, 279, 355, 365, and 299 marijuana plants respectively.
