ELFBAR and LOST MARY form advisory committee in UK
ELFBAR and LOST MARY establish advisory board in UK with executives from various fields for strategic guidance.

ELFBAR and LOST MARY have announced the formation of an advisory board in the UK to provide strategic guidance for their brands, according to a Reuters report on 21 October.

 

The board is made up of senior figures from relevant sectors in the UK, including national and local government, medical professionals and law enforcement. Members will be responsible for providing advice on key aspects of the operations and work of the two brands.

 

Victor Xiao, Global Vice President of ELFBAR and LOST MARY, stated, "The establishment of this committee marks a milestone for the global operations of ELFBAR and LOST MARY. This aligns with our long-term commitment as responsible market leaders in the global e-cigarette industry, as well as our exploration of the role of e-cigarette products in smoking cessation."

 

"The committee also indicated our intention to address issues such as youth use of e-cigarettes, environmental impact, and illegal trade. Starting from the UK, we also aim to expand this mechanism to other global markets, including the Middle East and Africa."

 

"Members of the British Advisory Council have held senior positions in their respective fields and have direct work experience in environments related to e-cigarettes, the National Health Service (NHS), and law enforcement. We are privileged to have such a group of experts who bring a wealth of professional knowledge to guide us in becoming a more socially responsible corporate citizen."

 

Members of the United Kingdom Advisory Council include:

 

  • Former Chief Investigator of the National Crime Agency, Steve Bennett;
  • Former Member of Parliament and Undersecretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, George Eustice; 
  • Former CEO of Swindon Borough Council and Deputy CEO of Surrey County Council, Susie Kemp; 
  • Former Chairman of the Local Government Association, Lord Porter; 
  • Qualified health psychologist with 20 years of experience in smoking cessation and tobacco harm reduction, NHS-experienced Sairah Salim-Sartoni; 
  • Non-partisan former Member of the House of Lords, former Labour MP and Prime Minister Gordon Brown's Special Advisor, Lord Hutton; Lord Walney.
